BERUFSORIENTIERUNG wird an unserer Schule großgeschrieben.
In der vorletzten Januarwoche haben unsere beiden achten Klassen drei regionale Betriebe besichtigen können.
Das Metallverarbeitungsunternehmen Bornemann Gewindetechnik gewährte unseren Schüler*innen beider Klassen einen Einblick in die innovative und moderne Fertigung von ganz unterschiedlichen Gewinden. Das Ehepaar Kathrin und Moritz von Soden nahm sich die Zeit für eine Betriebsführung und informierte auch ganz allgemein über die Wichtigkeit einer umfassenden Berufsorientierung vor Ausbildungsbeginn. Die Firma bildet Zerspanungsmechaniker und Kaufleute für Büromanagement aus.
In Duingen durften unsere Schüler*innen einen Blick in die Werkhallen der Firma MARDIE Maschinen- und Apparatebau GmbH werfen. Das Ehepaar Marquardt begrüßte unser Klasse 8b und Herr Jens Marquardt informierte uns umfassend über die Herstellung von Bauteilen für den Maschinen-, Apparate- und Behälterbau. Besonders gefreut waren wir darüber, zwei ehemalige Schüler unserer Schule wiederzusehen. Daimon Braukmüller und Lurs Prell befinden sich im letzten Jahr ihrer Ausbildung. Sie berichteten über die Inhalte der Ausbildungen zum Zerspanungsmechaniker bzw. Konstruktionsmechaniker.
Unsere Klasse 8a hatte die Gelegenheit zum Besichtigen der Firma Kuchenmeister in Duingen. Herr Karl Schwetje begrüßte uns. Anschließend führten uns zwei Mitarbeiter durch die Produktion der leckeren Kuchen. In Duingen werden die Berufe Maschinen- und Anlagenführer, Elektroniker und Fachkraft für Lebensmitteltechnik ausgebildet. Zum Abschluss der Besichtigung der Firma erhielten wir ein umfangreiches Kuchenpaket. So lecker!

Berufsorientierung in der Schule ist ein jahrelanger, fächerübergreifender Prozess, der die Schüler*innen befähigen soll, eine begründete Berufswahlentscheidung zu treffen. Dazu gehört, dass die jungen Menschen eigene Kompetenzen und Neigungen erkennen, reflektieren und gegen Ende der Schulzeit eine fundierte Entscheidung für eine mögliche Berufstätigkeit treffen können. Maßnahmen hierfür sind u.a. Praktika, der Besuch von Messen, Methodentage, Kompetenzfeststellungsverfahren, Praxistage an der Berufsbildenden Schule und Bewerbungsvorbereitungen.
Auch in Zeiten dieser Pandemie darf die Berufsvorbereitung nicht auf der Strecke bleiben. Mehr denn je benötigen Schüler*innen das Gespräch und die Auseinandersetzung mit den eigenen Wünschen und Möglichkeiten.
Unter anderen ist die enge Kooperation mit der Agentur für Arbeit ein wichtiger und durch das Kultusministerium vorgeschriebener Bestandteil der Berufsorientierung.
Wie sieht es aber gerade jetzt aus? Die Infektionszahlen sind hoch, die Schüler werden im Szenario B unterrichtet. Das bedeutet, dass in der Regel wochenweise eine halbe Klasse in Präsenz an der Schule ist und die andere Hälfte sich im Distanzlernen zuhause befindet.
Das Kultusministerium formuliert dazu in seiner
„10-Punkte-Agenda“
→ Berufsorientierung auch digital, um Zukunftschancen zu sichern (…)“.
Homeoffice und Videokonferenzen sind einige der Themen, die uns seit Beginn der Pandemie medial begleiten. Und da die Berufsberater gerade nicht in Präsenz in Schulen sein dürfen, war es naheliegend, die Beratung per „Videoschalte“ durchzuführen. „Unser“ Berufsberater, Henrich von der Heide, war sofort mit dieser Form der Beratung einverstanden. Nach anfänglicher leichter Skepsis und Befangenheit unserer Schüler*innen, in dieser eher ungewohnten Form zu kommunizieren, ist daraus nun ein Erfolgsmodell geworden
In diesen virtuellen Face-to-Face-Meetings gelten dieselben Regeln wie bei einem realen Treffen. Die Mimik spielt auch hier bei der Kommunikation der Gesprächspartner eine wichtige Rolle. Man kann sich in die Augen schauen. In der Regel ist der oder die Jugendliche allein in einem Raum und kann das Gespräch mit Henrich von der Heide ganz ungestört führen. Unsere Erfahrungen mit dieser Art der Beratung sind sehr positiv. Dieses bestätigt auch Henrich von der Heide.
Nach Beendigung des Gesprächs mit dem Berufsberater gibt es häufig noch einen Austausch zwischen Schüler*in und jemandem vom Berufsorientierungsteam der Schule, Birgit Schmidt-Timmermann oder Heidrun Obenauer. Ein anschließendes Handeln ist dann notwendig, wenn z.B. im Anschluss die Anmeldung für die weiterführende Schule ausgefüllt werden soll oder Unterstützung für die Bewerbungsunterlagen gewünscht wird.
Stoßlüften zwischen den einzelnen Schülerkontakten mit Henrich von der Heide ist selbstverständlich, weshalb eine Jacke während des Kontakts angeraten ist (siehe Foto).
